Baptist Health Care Foundation Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October
PENSACOLA, FLA. (Oct. 3, 2023) – Throughout the month of October, Baptist Health Care Foundation, along with presenting partner, our Local Honda Dealer, will raise funds and awareness about the Foundation’s Mammogram Fund, which provides mammograms year-round to individuals in need in our communities.
The mammogram program remains vitally important as Baptist continues to serve the needs of its patients. Over the past 14 years, the Foundation’s Mammogram Fund has provided screenings to 2,787 patients. As a result of these screenings, 741 patients required additional testing, 94 required biopsies and 32 were diagnosed with breast cancer.
The Foundation is offering a chance-to-win drawing to support its Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative. The prize drawing includes a $300 gift card from The Grand Marlin Pensacola Beach, a two-night stay from Oyster Bay Boutique Hotel and Ippolita Rock Candy earrings from Jewelers Trade Shop. Tickets are available throughout October for one ticket for $25 or five tickets for $100. The drawing will take place on Nov. 1 on the Foundation Facebook page. The winner will be awarded all three items, a total value of $1,895. Participants do not need to be present to win. No purchase necessary, and prizes are not transferable.
