Baptist Health Care Foundation Raises More than $30,000 to Support its Mammogram Fund

PENSACOLA, Fla. (Nov. 24, 2020) – Baptist Health Care Foundation continues to work with community partners and donors to help raise funds to provide mammograms to uninsured women and to raise awareness about the importance of breast health. Throughout the month of October, the Foundation raised $30,570 to benefit its Mammogram Fund.

“The mammogram program remains vitally important as Baptist continues to serve the needs of its patients year-round,” said KC Gartman, chief development officer of Baptist Health Care. “We are grateful to our supporters of this program because it allows us to continue providing mammograms to women in need in our communities.”

Since the start of this program, screenings have been provided to 2,253 women. As a result of these screenings, 475 women required additional testing, 58 required biopsies and 21 were diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Foundation would like to thank local Honda dealers, The Grand Marlin Pensacola Beach, Cox and all donors for supporting this initiative.
