6th Annual Casino Royale Gala Raises $248,412 for Baptist Health Care Foundation

BHC Foundation Team

PENSACOLA, Fla. (April 18, 2019) – Baptist Health Care Foundation’s 6th annual Casino Royale gala held April 12 raised nearly $250,000. Proceeds from the annual black-tie, invitation-only event will be used to purchase a new large bore 16-slice CT scanner for Baptist Hospital. The new CT allows for a more detailed diagnostic image to aid in cancer diagnosis and radiation treatment planning for patients.

“We are incredibly humbled at the support of our community that once again helped to make this event such a huge success,” says KC Gartman, executive director, Baptist Health Care Foundation. “As the area’s only not-for-profit, locally owned health care system, we play a vital role in the community’s overall health and wellness. We are proud to continue to support our Mission of helping people throughout life’s journey.”

Each year, event proceeds are used to support life-changing programs, services and technology at Baptist Health Care. Last year’s event supported the renovations to Baptist Hospital's progressive care unit (PCU), which specializes in treating medical and surgical patients.
