PENSACOLA, Fla. (July 20, 2021) – Baptist Health Care Foundation’s 7th annual Casino Royale Gala raised more than $252,000. Proceeds will benefit the new Baptist Health Care campus at Brent Lane and I-110.

“The new campus will incorporate state-of-the-art technology, include a concentration of related services and enable a modern approach to patient experience, access, wellness and care,” said KC Gartman, chief development officer, Baptist Health Care. “Our new home furthers our journey to bring a modern and more accessible approach to health care to our region. This new campus will be an innovative, convenient, safe and compassionate place to provide and receive care, incorporating modern efficiencies in a healing environment.”

Last year, the gala was canceled due to COVID-19 precautionary measures. Many event sponsors and donors opted to transition their sponsorship to a direct donation to support the Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund.  Contributions to the fund totaled $200,000 and were donated to Baptist Health Care in support of the COVID-19 safety measures implemented for patients and team members, including expanded isolation areas of Baptist hospitals to create additional negative pressure rooms, protective equipment and COVID-19 testing kits.
